Well cooked and seasoned quality affordable meal. The music was a bit loud and made it difficult to have a conversation.

The food is so yummy! My friend and I placed a take out order. Went in and picked it up and was greeting by two amazing hosts! They were more than accommodating and it was just a great experience to have. Thank you ladies!

I like the fish options here. I had the salmon and my friend had the Fish-n-Chips. I really don't like ordering from the kiosk as the beverage on the counter wasn't shown on the menu to purchase.

I have loved California Fish Grill since I was in college. I have been to so many locations within southern California. They are a regular favorite for my family and I consistently enjoy the quality of their seafood everytime I go. This location in Irvine is one of my favorite locations to visit. In my youngen college days, I used to get the Barramundi, but they no longer offer that option, so my new favorite has been the Sea Bass, aka the Branzino. I always get it Garlic Butter style, but I know my family and friends also enjoy their Cajun Style or the half half with half garlic butter and half Cajun. You get 2 sides with your protein, and I would rotate between the Diced Zucchini and Rosemary, Cauliflower Rice, Fire Roasted Street Corn, Brussel Sprouts, Asparagus or my mom's favorite the Sweet Potato Fries. I didn't know my love for CFG could grow even more. But recently I had the honor to host an American Cancer Society fundraiser with CFG and I was blown away by the level of professionalism and sincere care from their entire team. Sara Adachi is their Marketing Coordinator who I worked with closely throughout the process. She was so helpful and we even received a banner to help us promote our event. I host ACS events all year long and my experience with Sara has been the best. I also felt support from their Regional Manager Hugo Estrada, their Chief Marketing Officer Mark Hardison, and their entire staff on the day of the event at this location. I love California Fish Grill, and now I love it even more. They stand for the community and now every time I eat at CFG I feel like I am supporting a business who cares, and that makes me feel good about my choice. My entire team at work agrees that California Fish Grill has our heart, and we definitely have them on the rotation for spots to go for lunch or to cater to for our office events. Here's a breakdown of the delicious dishes I tried: Branzino Mediterranean Plate: This dish was the star of the show. The branzino (sea bass) was perfectly cooked - crispy skin and incredibly moist, flaky flesh. The Mediterranean flavors shone through, and the choice of house-made sides allowed me to customize the plate perfectly. Fish and Chips: This California Fish Grill classic did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly battered and fried, offering a delightful crunch on the outside and a tender, flavorful interior. The portion size was generous, and the fries were crispy and satisfying. Healthy and filling meal at a decent price. I got the Swai (white fish) with the creamy garlic butter sauce. It was tender, moist, and very flavorful. For side dishes I got the brown rice which was a pleasant surprise in that it was not dense nor dry like brown rice normally is. And I got the Kaleslaw (coleslaw) with a side of lime vinaigrette which I mix into it to make it perfect. I was decently hungry and all of this totally filled me up.

I just returned to California Fish Grill. It has been many years and I'm happy to say this place has survived and thrived. The decor is pure southern California. You order in front, then they call your name when the food is ready. They have changed their menu that include bowls. The prices have remained the same over the years. I had two skewers of shrimp. The shrimp was grilled over a flame and served with a garlic butter. Their slaw is excellent and their white rice is delicious. My plate was $13 I planned to go to the Crab Cooker, which sells the same plate for $25. Quality food at fair prices is what wins the race. Good job.

Decent price for fish. Surprisingly empty on a weekday evening though it did pick up around 7ish. The plates and trays are huge with an adequate portion of fish. I find the sides can either be a decent amount or too little. I was surprised to find the tomatoe feta to not be cherry tomatoes, but everything tasted fresh. The white fish is always the most tender, I got garlic butter sauce which was a little salty. Their rice is on the white cookef side seasoned with butter/salt, but not too dry. Overall for around $14 it's a decent meal :).
